This 8 Hour Pre Assignment Security Training Course is taught through Zoom by our New York State DCJS Certified instructors. The 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Course is an introduction to the security guard profession, and completion is required in order to submit an application for security guard registration to NYS.

The course outline includes:

• Role of the Security Guard
• Legal Powers and Limitations
• Emergency Situations
• Communications and Public Relations
• Access Control
• Ethics and Conduct
• Review and Examination

Upon completion of this course, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion. This certificate must be submitted along with an application for security guard registration with the NYS Department of State. All materials will be provided for this course.

Please schedule yourself to arrive by 5 minutes before class to allow time for you to check-in and complete paperwork.  (NOTE: If the course is split into two days/evenings, BOTH days/evenings MUST be completed in order to receive a certificate of completion!)

The Zoom link will be sent out via email to all registered participants prior to the class starting.
