ABOUT THIS COURSE

Here at Guardian Training, we know the value and importance of firearm safety and maintenance.
In this 2 hour course you will be guided through the basics of gun safety, and how to properly, inspect, disassemble, clean, and lubricate your handgun. By learning how to care for your firearm properly you will gain an understanding of your firearm, ensure reliability and safety, increase longevity and potentially avoid any major issues.

In this class you will learn:

• Rules of Gun Safety
• Basic parts of a pistol
• Basic cleaning materials
• Dissemble
• Inspect for damage
• Basic cleaning
• Oiling/Lubrication
• Reassembly
• Function test
• Maintenance schedule

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Student Must:

• Possess a Valid NYS pistol license.
• Possess Their own Registered handgun.
• Transport handgun in a carrying case/bag.

Firearms are just like any other tool, the better you maintain them, the longer they will serve you. In Handgun Cleaning Basics our instructors will take you through the best practices to clean your firearm. We will cover disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of your firearm. Included in the fee for this class you will receive a beginners cleaning kit to include: cleaning solvent/oil, cleaning brushes, and the appropriate personal safety equipment ($100.00 value).

Disclaimer: The cost of the course is $227.00 with a $8.74 administration processing fee.

DO NOT come to class with a loaded firearm, doing so will result in an immediate relase from class with no refund or option to reschdule.

Refund policy: Failure to come to class on the date the class is given, will result in a loss of payment unless you give GST 24 hour notice that you need to reschedule. We will be happy to credit your payment to another class. This applies to the first 2 reschedules. No refunds will be issued.
