8 Hour Pre-Assignment Security Guard 2-Day Training- June 17th & 18th

Our 8 Hour Pre Assignment Security Training Course is taught on Long Island in Deer Park by our New York State DCJS Certified instructors. The 8 Hour Pre-Assignment Course is an introduction to the security guard profession, and completion is required in order to submit an application for security guard registration to NYS. This one-day course is offered on weekdays and weekends. It can also be offered as a two-night evening course.

The course outline includes:

• Role of the Security Guard
• Legal Powers and Limitations
• Emergency Situations
• Communications and Public Relations
• Access Control
• Ethics and Conduct
• Review and Examination

Upon completion of this course, participants will be issued a Certificate of Completion. This certificate must be submitted along with an application for security guard registration with the NYS Department of State. All materials will be provided for this course.

Please schedule yourself to arrive by 15 minutes before class to allow time for you to check-in and complete paperwork. There will be a break for lunch/dinner; Feel free to bring food with you to class. If it is a night course, it will take place over two nights. (NOTE: If the course is split into two days/evenings, BOTH days/evenings MUST be completed in order to receive a certificate of completion!)

This class in taught in English. You MUST be able to speak, understand and comprehend English in order to successfully complete the exam.
